I have a Littman II SE, which I am equipped to toss. I cannot hear most murmurs unless they are totally obvious. I hold tried even the Littman III Cardiology scope but it does not even compare to my vet's Philips Rappaport-Sprague breathing space. Unfortunately, they are now discontinued and I cannot find one for public sale anywhere. I even like the $30 Prestige Sprague better than my Littman....
I own listened to an ultrascope which is better than mine, but I am not impassioned on carrying that bulky scope everywhere....
I would approaching to find a stethoscope that comes close to the Philips (formerly HP) scope i.e. not digital....
Can someone please Help?
As a RT I use a stethoscope all the time. I believe the best one is the one you can hear out of. Weather it cost $100 or $12 as long as you can hear what you need to hear. When you jump to shop for one try it on and listen, can you hear the noises around you? Then use it on those in the store (clerks other customers, in recent times ask most dont mind you listening to them.) after decide. Thats how I want which I am going to buy.
littman is the best brand in the flea market. Perhaps, you dont know how to use it.
